What about the house?

What about the house?

One of the top questions we’ve gotten – right after “Why Alaska?!” – is “What are you doing with your house?” Rest assured, we are not abandoning it to the squirrels or listing it on Airbnb as the “Midwest Trash Panda Manor.”

We’re thrilled to share that our daughter Audra and son-in-law Will, along with our two grandkids, are moving back to Michigan from Breckenridge, Colorado, and will be staying in our house while we’re off adventuring in Alaska. We think it’s a perfect fit. They’ll have time to settle in, decompress from mountain life (and all that snow… oh wait), and enjoy the additional space.

Honestly, it brings us joy to know the house will be full of life (and swimming and laughter) while we’re away—plus, we know they’ll take great care of it (and hopefully keep my two plants alive).

So, no “For Sale” sign in the yard, no packing up the blue china, and no Zillow stalking required. Just a little family reshuffling and a win-win all around. Fingers crossed the pool behaves…
